Working Through It
Man what a crazy month! I have had every possible problem thrown at me. Tournaments got cancelled and moved around so I had to quickly find something to do with my time. I booked 2 tournaments in the BFL down south. 1 was a Choo Choo on Guntersville which I was so looking forward to doing. There's nothing better than Gunters in the fall. The second was a Gator on Okeechobee, which I love but has me a little worried cause of the low water level on the Big O. My Evinrude which has been solid all year long and still is, is getting a little attention that it deserves so I was unable to make it to Gunters but I should be able to make the Big O. I can't wait to hit the water with my good buddy Steve Crowley. I'll try and pick up a few more local tournaments while I'm down there and get back just in time for Thanksgiving. Well that's all for now take care and tight lines everyone.

Time Off The Water
Well its that time of year were I take a little time and catch up with my wife and kids and also make repairs to the boat and equipment. I'll be back on the water for the long weekend to practice for the CSFL fall challenge. Then it's back down south for a couple of weeks. I love hurricane season in Florida, lol! Some where in there I have to sit down with the bosses and explain why I'm not the fishing champion of the world.
Tight lines everyone!

Power Pole
Man I thought last year was tough!, between this heat and things breaking I have spent more time under the deck of the boat than on it fishing. Last week someone told me the boat stands for Break Out Another Thousand. I think their right lol. My Power Pole died a few weeks ago and I had Grant Mills look at it and it would cost almost as much for a new one! I will miss it today on Tri Lakes but there's no way I was rebuilding that thing. Take care and tight lines.

Back To Skinny Water
I hate deep open water smallie fishing! There I said it. It's just not my thing man, I mean I can do it but I hate it. I just saw that Bass Pro has signed back on to do the Simcoe Open. I will not be there, you know what happened to me at the Casey Cup. But thank god we are back to skinny water this week. Flippin slop is were I'm the happiest.

Canadian Open
The truck is packed and I'm ready to hit the water! I hope my boat is ready for Wednesday but if not my good friend Jack Summers of RadioWord is kind enough to lend me his. TFB cut a check there last year with a 15th place finish against the best of the best. My water is 10 minutes from Kingston which gives me a lot more time to fish and doesn't beat the boat up. I'm targeting big largemouth bass in 20 feet of water off a weed bed and slack water on the backside of points in a river. Sorry I can't give you more info lol. But with a 100 pros out there I don't want any company. Lake Ontario is big water and can be scary, last year I worked my way through 14 foot waves to get back to shore and it was not what I like to do. When I got back to the ramp I had to peel my white knuckles of the steering wheel and have a cigar to calm down. I wish all my fellow competitors all the best of luck and to come back safe and sound. Last year we lost 10 boats due to breakdowns in the water just from being bashed around!
Tight lines and take care everyone.

G Pool & The Bay
Last week I twitted that we were almost in the Classic and that it would be decided on Georgian Bay but anything could happen. Well it did we had a hard weekend but made the Classic anyways. I'll have a story to tell my kids when they get older.

Three Days In The Bay
Spent the last 3 days on the Bay of Quinte and it was fantastic. The weather was good and the fish were biting. Brought in a limit everyday and built up my points for the CSFL Classic. The last day was a wild card event that was restricted to the bay only. That leveled out the playing field with all those boat that ran out to Lake Ontario all week. My last day I fished two spots that I had been holding onto, It had cattails and pads. I fished it Okeechobee style which I've learned from my good friend Steve Crowley of Crowley Guide Service. I pushed the boat into the cattails and flipped the clear water. I wasn't back there too long when I realized that they were still on beds. I saw a lot of fry but all I could catch were the bulls guarding them. I saw a few big females cruising but they wouldn't bite. So Marc and I brought in a bag of bulls for 13.65 lbs. I had a great birthday on the water. We did rack up good points for the Classic and that was the plan. Tight lines and take care!
